Prepared Planting Beds (Trees, Shrubs, Perennials, Annuals)

After blending your native soil with our recommended quantity and type of soil conditioner, the bed should be raked smooth. Consider the surface drainage and adjust the grade if necessary. Place the plants still in their pots on the bed. Move if necessary to achieve the desired spacing. Now you are ready to plant.

Mark the bed where the plant should be placed and dig the hole just big enough for the plant. Make sure the plant in the pot is completely hydrated. Remove the plant from the pot and loosen the roots if necessary. Place the plant in the hole and push soil to stabilize the plant being careful to not get the root ball deeper than the growing level.


Mulch the bed.
